Do I need a building permit for Garden Secret 4you®?

Installation of Garden Secret 4you® should be reported to the administrative body appropriate for your place of residence. When submitting the required documents, remember to indicate that Garden Secret 4you® is not permanently attached to the ground.

What dimensions must be cut to install Garden Secret 4you®?

The size of the excavation depends on the type of Garden Secret 4you®. The excavation has to be ca 50 cm larger than a given cellar. The minimum dimensions are:

• Width – approx. 3 m

• Length – approx. 5.5 m (for 5m cellar)

• Depth – approx. 2.5 m

The 50 cm space between the excavation and Garden Secret 4you® is indispensable to cover it with dry concrete.

Is the concrete bottom plate under Garden Secret 4you® necessary?

A concrete bottom plate is an obligatory element for placing Garden Secret 4you® in the ground. It isolates the cellar from unstable ground, micro-vibration and prevents possible cracks. A reinforced concrete foundation slab with a thickness of 12 to 20 cm is made on the reinforced soil subgrade.

Why do I have to put styrodur on the concrete slab?

The concrete slab has various minor irregularities which have to be eliminated. Lining the styrodur is the best way to reduce the friction of Garden Secret 4you® floor against concrete. Styrodur also provides additional thermal insulation. The layer of styrodur should be spread over the entire surface of the concrete slab.

Should the syrodur layer be on the entire surface of the bottom plate?

The styrodur layer must be under the whole Garden Secret 4you®. It is good if the styrodur protrudes even slightly beyond the bottom outline. This guarantees the entire bottom of Garden Secret 4you® rests on the layer of styrodur.

Transport and unloading

What is delivery time?

Garden Secret 4you® are produced all year round and stocked in our warehouses (25 850 m2). That is why about 90% of them are available immediately. In the season, i.e. from March to the end of October, the delivery time is about 2-3 weeks if our company carries out the transport. You can also pick up Garden Secret 4you® in person or with the transport you have ordered. This can significantly reduce the delivery time. To avoid waiting it is better to order Garden Secret 4 you in advance.

What do I need for delivery day?

If you haven’t paid for Garden Secret 4you®, prepare the deducted cash and settle accounts with the driver before unloading. On the day of delivery, the necessary construction works should be completed, i.e. excavation with a poured concrete slab at its bottom. Styrodur should be fixed to concrete lab. Make sure that the styrodur is free of dirt, sand and stones so you can safely place a cellar on it. To unload Garden Secret 4you® you need a crane with an overhang of a minimum length of 10 meters and slings of a minimum length of 6 to 8 meters. If delivery car cannot approach close to the excavation, the crane arm’s overhang should be longer than 10 meters. This ensures proper unloading and embedding Garden Secret 4you® in the excavation.

Do we have hydraulic truck crane to transport Garden Secret 4you®?

Our delivery cars are not equipped with unloading devices. Vehicles of this type are very heavy and it is often impossible to drive them close to the excavation.

What is the cost of renting a crane?

Prices typically range from € 80 to € 200 per hour plus travel costs. It depends on the region and size of the crane.

What do I need to unload Garden Secret 4you®?

A crane with an overhang of at least 10 meters is a must. The cellar is hung on four slings, min. 6 meters (!) that are stretched on the cellar’s handles. This way, the cellar can safely be removed from the delivery car. For unloading, two people to belay and a crane operator are necessary.

Can Garden Secret 4you® be unloaded manually?

Garden Secret 4you® must be unloaded with a crane. Manual unloading or by devices other than a crane cause the loss of guaranty.

Does Garden Secret 4you® have unloading handles?

Yes, Garden Secret 4you® have handles that facilitate unloading.

How many people are necessary to unload Garden Secret 4you®?

To unload Garden Secret 4you® you need 2 or more people to belay, a crane operator and our driver.

Does the driver have any slings necessary for unloading Garden Secret 4you®?

Yes, our driver has slings and the crane operator should have chains necessary for unloading.

Will Garden Secret 4you® be delivered at a specific time?

We are not able to give the exact time of delivery. The driver often has a long distance to travel and we are not able to predict what may happen on the road (accidents, traffic jams and other unforeseen random events). We always inform our clients about the day of delivery and you need to book a crane for that day. We always try to determine time of the day but we cannot guarantee due to various random accidents on the road. Our driver will contact you approximately one hour before arrival so that you can inform the crane company about the need to arrive at a specific time.

How long should a crane be reserved for unloading?

Proper unloading should not exceed 2 hours of crane operation. Of course, this is not a rule. The exact time depends on various factors: location of the site or the location of the excavation in relation to the crane’s workplace.

Will my Garden Secret 4you® come alone or with a different cellar?

When you pay for transport, you pay for a place on the car, similarly to courier or transport companies. If the order does not exceed the permissible shipping weight, it is combined with another customer’s order. However, it is possible to order individual transport. To use this service, add 950 € to the cost of transportation.

Is it possible to collect Garden Secret 4you® in person?

Yes, you can pick up Garden Secret 4you® in person.

What should I have when picking up my Garden Secret 4you®?

You should have large car or trailer, transport belts, several square meters of polystyrene, a tarpaulin and cotton cloths. Take into account the dimensions of the vehicle with a cellar and read the current traffic code, especially in the section regarding the maximum dimensions of the vehicle.
